Opening ceremonies & schedule

Saturday, December 20

  1. 10:30 AM

    Thanksgiving Maya Ceremony

    Mayan Priest José Magaña leads a centuries-old ritual of gratitude and renewal, using copal, cacao, conch horns and sacred fire. Bring your own offerings, or write an intention for the altar. Approx. 45 minutes – 1 hour.

  2. 11:30 AM

    Fair Opens

    A full day of live talks, workshops and cultural demonstrations: traditional tortilla making, jippy jappa weaving, organic meals and local artisan foods, hot and cold cacao drinks, handicrafts, free water refill stations, and a bring-your-own-mixers juice bar. Closes 4:30 PM.

Sunday, December 21

  1. 6:30 AM

    Maya Solstice Ceremony

    Mayan Priestess Gigi welcomes the rising sun and honours ancient cycles of time in a profound dawn ceremony rooted in tradition and intention. Approx. 3–4 hours.

  2. 10:30 AM

    Fair Opens — Day Two

    A second day of the fair, running until close.

  3. 3:30 PM

    Sacred Cacao Dance (Crique Jute)

    Experience the rhythm and power of this traditional dance honouring cacao's spiritual role in Maya culture. Closes 4:30 PM.

The Chaos Oasis is fully off-grid, and we're committed to a fair that respects the land, the people and the environment. Bring a reusable water bottle and bag, or pick up a limited-edition Kulcha Fair tote or reusable cup on site.
